Introducing our new Art Program!

I would like to introduce myself as your new Art Teacher, Sharon Barker. I have been teaching art for Preschool-Primary aged children for over 10 years. I am so excited to be a part of creating Quail Run's Art Program, as I have tons of fun planned for your children.

With the help of Parent Volunteers, we will begin our "Master's of Art Program". Students will study a variety of artists and genres and then interpret a masterpiece in their own style. We will also create works to decorate the new Art Studio, located in F8, where students will have the opportunity to experiment with all types of mediums and styles. This year's SAFE Art Program is now underway, and we will soon begin our projects for that.

Ways you can help:

You will find requests for needed household items in the Weekly Newsletter as well as volunteer opportunities. No special Art talent is necessary. We will need parents from each class or grade to help teach lessons, prepare materials, keep materials clean and organized, as well as a variety of other jobs. I encourage each person to volunteer for Art. It is a lot of fun for both you and your child.
